Yes, we do have seasons here in Las Vegas: a mild winter, a windy spring, a hot and dry summer, and a lovely fall. Autumn is my favorite season in Southern Nevada because we get crisp air and a few colorful leaves without the gloomy, overcast skies that other parts of the country have to put up with at this time of year.
Twice in last few weeks, I’ve taken a stroll at Red Spring, part of the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. This is one of my favorite recommendations for families visiting Las Vegas. It’s a beautiful place, and the boardwalk-loop hike is manageable for young children.
